Dallas, Pennsylvania
(The Other Dallas)

I have lived in the same town for thirty-seven years. I've often caught myself saying things like "there is nothing to do here," "It's so boring," "We don't have anything exciting to offer." You know the routine. When you look at something the same way for so long it does look stale and boring. Recently I decided to open my eyes. What I've found is that my little town has more to offer than I thought. Every morning I wake up to the most beautiful sunrises. I've taken walks and have found gorgeous scenery, historic houses, and amazing things. This blog will be what I have found in my little corner of the world, a small town in Northeastern, PA called Dallas. That's right Pennsylvania, not Texas. This is the Other Dallas.

People from Dallas will probably not believe that Huntsville Road is right behind this tree and when the sun comes up the view is much different. There are houses everywhere.

Comments:
I grew up on Claude st in Dallas in the 50s and 60s. When somebody asks me where I grew up at I tell them the greatest state in the greatest town on the greatest street in that town.
Their must have been 40 kids on the street back then,we could have a football game baseball game and two basketball games going at the same time, with kids sitting on the side waiting for somebody to get tired so they could play.
I might live in Va but my heart is in Dallas and I will retire there.

half of the kids on Claude street were from the Carey family back in the 50s and 60s.
